U4GM Arc Raiders Portable TV Trade Guide
A Portable TV doesn’t look like much when it turns up in your backpack. It weighs 3 kilograms, takes a full inventory slot, and can seem like an easy source of Batteries and Wires. That instinct can cost you, though. This week, Ermal wants one for the Colorful Shoes trade, so a bit of household loot has suddenly become a serious raid decision. Before you throw it into the recycler, check the wider value of your ARC Raiders Items.
Why the Portable TV Is Worth Keeping
The item is linked to more than Ermal’s rotating offer. It’s also used for the Movie Night quest and can appear in Expedition project requirements. Those needs don’t disappear just because a tempting barter is available for a limited time. If you’re still missing one for a quest or project, the first TV you find should usually go straight into safe storage. Losing it after a difficult Residential run feels bad enough. Finding out you recycled the only one you had is worse.
There’s also the replacement problem. A Portable TV can be found in Residential areas, but that doesn’t mean one is waiting in a particular room every run. You’ll need several useful loot checks, and then you still have to get out. Once the TV is in your bag, continuing to wander around for minor loot may not be worth the risk. I’ve seen plenty of raids turn greedy at exactly that point. The backpack gets fuller, the route gets longer, and the important item becomes the thing most likely to be lost.
How to Judge Ermal’s Current Trade
Ermal’s Colorful Shoes exchange needs one Portable TV plus 10,000 worth of eligible guns or high-tier ARC parts. The second requirement matters. There’s no point making a special trip for the TV if your stash cannot cover the rest of the deal. The Trailblazer blueprint is separate, too. It requires five Comet Igniters, five Leaper Pulse Units, and five Bombardier Cells, not a Portable TV. Mixing those goals during one raid usually creates a messy inventory and a vague plan.
When Recycling Makes Sense
At Speranza, recycling a Portable TV gives two Batteries and six Wires. Salvaging it Topside gives four Wires. Those materials can be useful, especially when you’re short on basic crafting supplies, but the return is modest compared with a quest completion or a wanted barter. Keep one for every unfinished requirement you can see, and consider another for Ermal only if you genuinely want the reward. After that, recycling is perfectly reasonable. Players who need extra supplies can also buy ARC Raiders Materials when the trade-off makes more sense for their stash and their next run.
