The Udyam registration number is mandatory for all MSMEs in India. The Udyam registration number is no longer needed. If you renew your Udyam certificate, don’t change the Udyam registration number; it is a permanent proof of business identity.

Improved loan eligibility: Facilitates access to priority sector financing and priority lending benefits available through CGTMSE.
Tax concessions and tariff relief: Eligibility for discounted power tariffs, GST relief, and additional central/state benefits.
Tendering benefits: Enterprises with a URN receive waivers on EMD and priority purchasing rights in public tenders.
Business authentication system: Government departments and businesses can verify your URN digitally to establish your MSME credentials.
