The reporting refers to gathering data and presenting it in a structured manner where as analytics is using collected data to identify the patterns and insights to prepare you future decision making. This includes data, graphs, tables, etc.
Reporting aids in the understanding of complex information, while analytics is the process of making decisions based on the data that is available. Although widely held, the notion that reporting and analytics are interchangeable is false.
