Foundations Care is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the wellbeing of children, young people and families through protection, connection, support and advocacy. With a strong focus on creating safe, stable and nurturing environments, Foundations Care works alongside foster carers, families and communities to help children experience security, acceptance and positive opportunities for growth.

Foster care is an important part of Foundations Care’s work. When children or young people cannot safely remain living with their families, trained and approved foster carers can provide a supportive home environment while plans are made for their future. Foundations Care recognises that every child has individual needs and works to ensure that carers receive appropriate guidance and support throughout their fostering journey.

For people considering becoming foster carers, Foundations Care provides information and assistance throughout the approval process. This can include completing an application, required screening and checks, assessment, initial training and preparation for fostering. Once approved, carers are supported by experienced caseworkers who help with matching and provide information about the child or young person and their circumstances.
